About us
The non-profit organisation EuroSkills 2020 GmbH, wholly owned by the Styrian Economic Chamber, was founded on 13 October 2016, six months after Austria won the bid to host the event. This laid the foundations and since then we have been devoting all our efforts to preparing for the event. The non-profit organisation EuroSkills 2020 GmbH was established with the purpose of preparing, organizing and staging the European vocational skills championships EuroSkills Graz 2021.
Team
Setting all these activities in motion in 2017 and preparing for the event in a professional manner requires a strong team. The two managing directors, Harald del Negro and Angelika Ledineg, immediately started to build this team. Important key areas, such as the technical management, need to be integrated from the very beginning. Stefan Praschl from the Institute for Research on Qualifications and Training of the Austrian Economy, who played a key role in the success of the bid to host EuroSkills 2021, has been supporting the management team since the company was founded.
The Supervisory Board includes the President of the Styrian Economic Chamber, Josef Herk, who is the Chairman and is responsible for representative tasks, the Director of the Styrian Economic Chamber, Karl-Heinz Dernoscheg, and its Head of Finance, Anton Lampl.
Host
For years Austria has enjoyed a leading position in international rankings as a venue for meetings, events and conferences. It is also a country where young talents are specifically promoted and have the chance to give their best. This makes EuroSkills 2021 a very special affair of the heart for Austria.
