EUROSKILLS 2021 – THE COMPETITION

When hundreds of the best young professionals from all over Europe battle for the European championship title in one of the 45 competition skills in Austria – it  means EuroSkills 2021 has started! The event takes place from 23-25 September, 2021 in the Skills Village, a site measuring tens of thousands of square metres at the Schwarzl Freizeitzentrum. And the best thing about it: Visitors can experience all the skills and competitions up close and live. Free of charge!

PROGRAMME FOR STUDENTS, YOUNG PEOPLE AND MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

Whether looking directly over the shoulder of the 400 best young professionals from all over Europe at the competition, or trying out your own skills and talents at the “Try a Skill” stations: during the competition days at the Schwarzl Freizeitzentrum (23-25.09.2021) at EuroSkills 2021, you´ll have unique opportunities to experience career guidance in an exciting and interactive way.

SPECIALIST PROGRAMME FOR EXPERTS

EuroSkills 2021 is accompanied by a first-class, high-quality specialist events with various regional, national and European formats- , with conferences, meetings and lectures – focusing on the core topic of “FUTURE OF SKILLS” from different perspectives.

OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONY

In keeping with the scale and international significance of a European Championship, EuroSkills2021 will begin and end with formal celebrations at the Stadthalle Graz (Messe Congress Graz). The Opening Ceremony will take place on 22 September 2021 and the Closing Ceremony with announcement of the European champions in all participating skills will be held on 26 September 2021.

TRY A SKILL STATIONS

At EuroSkills 2021, visitors can look over the shoulder of the best young specialists in Europe, as they knight for the gold medals, and cheer them on, experience jobs in action and thus experience professional know-how at the highest level live. Numerous professions can be tried out in the middle of the action at the Try a Skill stations in order to discover one’s own skills and find professional interests.

This makes EuroSkills 2021 one of the largest interactive career information events in the country.

EUROSKILLS 2021 CONFERENCE FUTURE OF SKILLS

On the first day of the competition (23.09.2021) the official EuroSkills 2021 Conference will take place as a European-format congress. Nationally and internationally renowned keynote speakers and experts meet in Graz with political decision-makers, representatives from regional, national and international educational institutions and organizations, delegates from national and international ministries, education experts as well as HR managers and decision-makers from various industries to discuss the main topic of the Conference “Future of Skills”:

The EuroSkills 2021 Conference is a unique platform for bilateral and multilateral networking, mutual exchange and knowledge transfer on a European level.

The “Future of Skills” conference will be held in English.

ERAUSMUS+ – SKILLS FOR EUROPE, SKILLS FOR THE WORLD

Erasmus + has been and is an engine of innovation for European education for more than three decades. Erasmus + also offers a suitable framework for the future to deal with current changes, to actively face up to them and to discuss possible solutions. In the symposium, which is implemented as a hybrid event, approaches are discussed and solutions are shown, as to how and to what extent vocational training plays a pioneering role in successfully coping with global change.

The conference is aimed at decision-makers in education policy, Erasmus + stakeholders, representatives of educational institutions and education experts.
