Top training “made in Styria”
Our sponsor FISCH-Tools is a manufacturer of high-quality tools for processing wood, metals and composite materials. At its headquarters in the Styrian town of St. Josef, near Graz, the company produces approximately 2.5 million tools a year, to be distributed to around 45 countries worldwide.
The consistent reliability and excellent quality of its products is mainly due to having staff who are trained to the highest standards. FISCH-Tools often trains its own staff in-house, with apprentices working mainly in metals technology and its various specialisms.
What makes the training at FISCH-Tools so unique? Right from the start, the company gives tomorrow’s skilled workers the opportunity to work with them, to apply their skills and to learn about the high-tech industry. At FISCH-Tools, apprentices have the opportunity to fully develop their personal skills, to learn more than they would elsewhere and to assume more responsibility as a result.
So, what will FISCH-Tools gain from supporting EuroSkills 2020? “As a sponsor for the joinery and cabinetmaking skill categories, we will not only be providing tools but will also be involved in the international skills showdown, which is designed to boost the image of the dual education system and give the young, skilled workers a platform to showcase their expertise”, says Christoph Riegler, managing director of FISCH-Tools: “We are very proud to be part of an event where we can show how important a sound education is for our industry.”
Even now, well in advance of the event, FISCH-Tools is already providing the 28 competitors in the joinery/cabinetmaking categories with product vouchers so that the young, skilled workers can optimise their preparations for EuroSkills 2020 with their own individual tools portfolio.
