Adding Austrian expertise for the concrete construction skill
Another sponsor is on board: EuroSkills 2020 welcomes Doka, the renowned specialist for high-quality formwork technology. Doka is a world leader in developing, manufacturing and distributing formwork technology and has more than 7,000 employees worldwide. As a bronze sponsor, Doka is particularly committed to the concrete construction skill. After making their debut at the WorldSkills 2015 (Sᾶo Paulo, Brazil), competitions in this skill were first held at the European skills championships in Budapest in 2018. The Team Austria immediately met this new challenge, walking away with the gold medal.
Harald Zulehner, managing director of Doka Österreich GmbH, feels that sponsoring EuroSkills 2020 is a great opportunity to show appreciation to and motivate young skilled workers: “In a time when there is a shortage of skilled workers, it is becoming more and more important to have well trained workers as part of the team. Competitions such as EuroSkills help to inspire and get young people excited about apprenticeships”, he says. “We are all the more delighted that this event is being held in Austria for the first time. And we are proud to be supporting tomorrow’s skilled workers with our formwork at the European skills championships to spur them on to outstanding accomplishments.”
On behalf of the entire EuroSkills 2020 team we would like to sincerely thank Doka for their commitment, dedication and sponsorship. We are looking forward to working together in the run-up to the event in September 2020.
