Brother supports Skill Fashion Technology

Brother is another company that has recently joined EuroSkills 2020 as a new supplier. It is supporting the Fashion skill in the Creative Arts and Fashion category.

Various materials such as fabrics, sewing accessories and such like are needed so that the competitors in Fashion can tackle their competition tasks. And, of course, professional sewing machines are a must – and these will be provided by the EuroSkills 2020 supplier Brother, a Japanese company with a subsidiary in Germany. In total, the company will supply the competitors in this skill with 29 machines for straight stitching, 7 for zigzag stitching and 7 buttonhole machines for the team competition tasks. Jörg Haan, Managing Director of Brother International, explains why the company is getting involved with EuroSkills 2020: “Brother’s company philosophy is ‘at your side’ – and there’s a very good reason for this. As an international supplier of industrial textile machines it is very important to us to support young people and to prepare them for the world of work. EuroSkills is therefore the perfect event for discovering and encouraging the highly trained and talented workforce of tomorrow. That’s why we are delighted to be able to support events such as EuroSkills, so that – with the next generation – we can establish and maintain sustainable textile production in our region as well.”

EuroSkills 2020 would again like to thank Brother very much for their fabulous support. We are Skills!
