FANUC-Hightech für den Skill Robot System Integration
The automation specialist FANUC Europe joined the ranks of the EuroSkills 2020 sponsors earlier this year. At EuroSkills 2020, FANUC will be setting up the entire competition for the future-oriented skill of Robot System Integration.
The company, which is supporting the European vocational championships in Graz, is a major player in the field of manufacturing and engineering technology. With more than 4.2 million installed CNC controls and 600,000 robots boosting factory automation worldwide, this Japanese corporate group is an international market leader in this domain. The competitions in the Robot System Integration skill will be held under the yellow FANUC flag. As well as preparing the competition area and the tasks, FANUC will also set up the Try-a-Skill station where people have the chance to try their hand at FANUC technology. For example visitors will be able to try out an “Educationcell” and come face to “face” with a collaborative lightweight robot.
So, why did FANUC decide to become a EuroSkills 2020 sponsor? Shinichi Tanzawa, CEO and President of FANUC Europe Corporation explains: “The demand for robots and automation is growing continuously. This is true of many industries – from aircraft construction and medical technology, to the food industry – and especially in the automotive industry and other sectors where robots are already widely used. Even though industrial robots are becoming increasingly easier to operate, considerable knowledge is still required in order to use them safely and effectively. That’s why FANUC invests heavily in young people and their education and training in all aspects of robotics. In this way, we wish to promote robotisation and create an intelligent Factory of the Future.”
EuroSkills 2020 thanks FANUC for their fantastic support. We are Skills!
