One of Europe’s biggest family-run manufacturers of spices and seasonings, HELA Gewürzwerk Hermann Laue, has just come on board as a EuroSkills 2020 supplier. The company will ensure that competitors in the “culinary skills” categories have all the herbs and spices they need to add the finishing touches to their competition dishes. 

The skilled use of herbs and spices is what gives a dish the right flavour and emphasises the personal touch of the chef that created it. At EuroSkills 2020, competitors in the Cooking, Butchery and Bakery skill categories will have access to top-quality products from HELA to refine their competition entries.

Managing director of HELA Austria, Rainer Werchner, explains why the German company is supporting the professional chefs of the future: “HELA is convinced that international professional competitions help put the spotlight on young people who have found their calling, and give them the recognition they deserve.
