Holzmann Maschinen – a strong partner for EuroSkills 2020
EuroSkills 2020 has succeeded in winning new support in the form of the Austrian company Holzmann Maschinen. The new supplier will be particularly involved in the two skill categories of Cabinetmaking and Joinery.
With Holzmann Maschinen, the European Skills Championships have the support of a company with a long history. Its origins date back to 1886, when a blacksmith’s shop was founded in the Austrian municipality of Haslach an der Mühl. It is now the Holzmann and Zipper corporation, a global player in machinery and workshop equipment, which operates almost worldwide with its two main sites in Austria and branches in Germany and China. The company will be supporting the two skills of cabinetmaking and joinery by supplying various tools and machinery.
Daniel Schörgenhuber, graduate engineer and managing director of Holzmann Maschinen, explains why the Upper Austrian company is getting involved with EuroSkills 2020: “Holzmann-Maschinen, with its wide range of machinery for wood and sheet-metal processing as well as workshop equipment (1,500 products), has already been supporting the education of young people for several years as part of various school partnerships locally in our home district of Rohrbach (according to the principle of applying theory in practice). Taking the step to support young tradespeople along with the opportunity to foster enthusiasm, expertise and professionalism at the European Skills Championships with part of our product range is therefore something that means a great deal to us.”
We should like to take this opportunity to thank Holzmann Maschinen once again for their fantastic support for EuroSkills 2020. We are Skills!
