Measuring equipment provider Mitutoyo now supporting EuroSkills
The traditional Japanese company is joining the ranks of the EuroSkills sponsors by supporting primarily the CNC turning and CNC milling skills categories with its products.
Since Mitutoyo’s founding in 1934, the Japan-based company has in the last few decades grown into the world’s leading supplier of measuring equipment, and now operates in more than 100 countries worldwide. The premium manufacturer’s product range comprises over 9,000 different measurement technology products ranging from analogue and digital precision callipers to ultra-modern CNC coordinate measuring equipment, as well as powerful, yet user-friendly software solutions. As an innovative and forward-looking corporation, Mitutoyo places a particularly high priority on the subject of training. In addition to EuroSkills 2020, the company also supports national skills competitions in various countries – as well as WorldSkills, where it was involved as an exclusive partner for precision measuring equipment in 2017.
Thomas Pachler, managing director of Mitutoyo Austria, explains the company’s commitment: “The clear and uncompromising goal to provide the best quality products and value available anywhere has driven Mitutoyo, from its humble beginnings in 1934, to become the premier supplier of metrology equipment in the world. Mitutoyo sees itself as a full-range supplier for measurement solutions. Besides dimension measurement, the traditional Japanese company also offers software solutions for statistical process monitoring and real-time data logging. For a traditional, family-run business like Mitutoyo, which is deeply rooted in Japan and sees sustainability and expertise sharing as its topmost priorities, it is a matter of course to support the European Skills Championships – and thereby also to promote young, committed and talented workers – by providing coordinate measuring equipment and manual gauges. That’s why we will again be offering visitors to the event an opportunity to obtain a free copy of our “Education Pack”, which includes nine booklets dealing with all aspects of measurement technology from basic principles to complex solutions.”
EuroSkills would like to thank Mitutoyo for its great support. We are Skills!
