Workshop managers prepare for their “home championships” at fourth meeting
As the year 2020 and EuroSkills draws ever closer, our workshop managers once again paid us a visit from 8th to 10th April at the Styrian Economic Chamber. It started with a kick-off meeting for the nine new workshop managers, who gathered in the Business Lounge at the Styrian Economic Chamber where they were given an overview of the main information and tasks relevant for workshop managers. In the afternoon, the remaining 50 workshop managers arrived and the fourth Workshop Manager Meeting was officially launched.
This time, the agenda included topics such as infrastructure lists, project planning and a review of EuroSkills 2018 in Budapest. WorldSkills Europe was also represented at the meeting and Eugene Incerti discussed EuroSkills 2018 with the workshop managers, while Jordy de Groot trained the participants to use a special software. Our Head of Competitions, Stefan Praschl, provided our workshop managers with insights into the Technical Descriptions for each skill or trade, the Competition Rules, the operational planning and the workshop layouts for EuroSkills 2020.
The 3-day meeting was concluded with a joint photo session including EuroSkills 2020 Supervisory Board Chairman Josef Herk, the two managing directors Angelika Ledineg and Harald del Negro, and WorldSkills Europe representatives Eugene Incerti and Jordy de Groot.
Our workshop managers also showed their full commitment to EuroSkills 2020 at the fourth meeting.
