With the raising of the flags of the participating countries the WorldSkills Village in Kazan was officially opened on Tuesday. The accomodation for more than 5500 competitors and guests is a modern residential area, built to serve as a home and place for relaxation during the competitions. After a challenging competition day workshops, games and other entertaining activities are offered here.

In less than two days the 45th WorldSkills finally starts. It is the biggest international event in Russia to which 1300 competitors from 63 different countries and numerous guests feverishly look forward to. Ruman Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, wishes all of them a pleasant stay and good luck for the following days.
